In the CUVIS Robotic joint knee replacement surgery, The entire surgery is pre-planned virtually using a 3D CT scan of the patients Knees. This allows the AI of the system to visualise the knee joint in 4 dimensions. It can now precisely measure all critical parameters like the dimension of the implant required, the exact position the implant needs to installed to mimic the patients anatomy. These measurements were previously only possible during the surgery and the surgeon had to take a call on the OT table. Now orthopaedics can evaluate all possibilities before surgery.
Even during the surgery, the System actively scans the joint in real time for any changes compared to the previous CT Scan used to plan the surgery. This allows the orthopaedic to make finer adjustments before proceeding with implant installation.
